【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedtoprovideastandardsetofguidelinesthataretobefollowedwhenconductingandreportingoninspectionsofinstalledfirestops.Thispracticeisintendedtoprovideameanstoverifycomplianceoftheinstalledfirestopstotheinspectiondocuments.Thispracticeisnotintendedtoprovideabasisforselectinginstallersorproductsorboth.Thispracticeisnotintendedtoestablishanyperformancecriteriaoftheinspectedfirestops.1.1Thispracticecoverstheestablishingofprocedurestoinspectfirestops,includingmethodsforfieldverificationandinspection.1.2Thispracticeaddressesalltypesoffirestopsinstalledthroughorintofireresistiveassemblies.Note18212;FirestopisdefinedinTestMethodE814.1.3Thispracticeprovidesmethodsbywhichqualifiedinspectorsverifythatrequiredfirestopsonaprojecthavebeeninstalledandthattheirinstallationsareinaccordancewiththeinspectiondocuments.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.6Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.
