【摘要】:Tapesealantsaretacky,deformablesolidsthatareusedundercompressionbetweentwoormoresurfacesofsimilarordissimilarmaterialsinavarietyofsealingapplications.Thisprocedureisnotintendedtosimulateanactualuseconditionbutwillgivesomeindicationofthecohesiveandadhesivebondingpropertiesofthetape.Italsoprovidesanindicationofthemodulusandtensilestrengthofthesealanttapecomposition.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratoryprocedurefordeterminingtheyieldstrengthofpreformedtapesealants.1.2Thevaluesstatedinacceptablemetricunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;TherearenoISOstandardssimilarorequivalenttothisASTMstandard.
